South Side Speaks

Tonight was a great night!  Jamie and I had the South Side Speaks team over to our house for a little “chillaxin” time.  It was a ton of fun as we had a six foot sub, Original Dominican Republic coffee, home made Strawberry pie (Thanks Tammy), much more food, and Mafia!  Got to love that mix.  Just a couple of thoughts.  This night was designed for a couple of reasons:

1. Relationships – How important is this when you are building a team?  Without growing and thriving relationships, it is virtually impossible for a team to impact a community at the level God so desires!
2. Fun Time – It is very important that we spend time planning, ministering, and building relationships with people, but it is also important that we just have some fun!  Letting the spiritual and ministry guards down for a time to laugh, play, and just goof a little bit, does the heart and mind some good!  I have to admit, this is a constant battle for me, to stop thinking ministry at times and just enjoy life with family and friends.
